Objective of EMSI

Objective of the Electron Microscopy Society of India (EMSI) is to promote Electron Microscopy and the various Allied Techniques and their applications in carrying out scientific research towards the development of Science and Technology in India. The Society has a drive to motivate the scientific community especially the young generation toward efficiently using the various Electron Microscopy and associated analytical techniques available with today's state-of-the-art instruments, for example, the aberration corrected high-resolution analytical transmission electron microscopes with their capabilities of imaging materials structure at sub-angstrom resolution and bringing out chemical information down to atomic scale. The Society also explores active connections to the rest of the world and as a member of the International Federation of Societies of Microscopy (IFSM). EMSI would try to make efforts to get an exposure for the Indian Scientific Community to the cutting edge research activities carried out in the various renowned Laboratories working in the field of Microscopy all over the world by conducting various workshops, symposia, seminars and conferences.
